Disneyland

The trip to Disneyland with Grammy and Grandpy was a SUCCESS. The dinner with the princesses came as a big surprise to both girls. Isabelle just thought that Ariel was going to cook our dinner; she had no idea she would see FIVE princesses. Each time they came to our table Isabelle and Madee both jumped out of their seats to get their picture taken with each one. Below are a few of the good ones. More to come later Madee LOVED Snow White, she kept trying to touch her face.

A big hug from her first princess love
Madee was just so amazed to see them all. Isabelle acted like a pro telling Madee how to stand and even talking to them!!!

Name change

Isabelle came to the conclusion last week that she needed to change her name because it doesn't describe who she really is. Now she would like to be referred to as "Isabelle Hope GIRL"! Maybe she'll understand one day.

Can we go to Eattle tomorrow then

Isabelle's favorite best friend cousin (her words) came back to town to visit and they had sleepover at Grammy's house. They played, made gingerbread houses, went in the coozie, watched movies, and I am sure ate a whole lot of sugar! Even though she was so happy that she got to see Audrey, she refused to give her a real hug when I picked her up. Not sure why, but she wouldn't. Of course the minute we pulled out of the driveway she wanted to go back and hug her again. She also wanted to go to "Eattle" and have a sleepover at Audrey's if she couldn't come to our house. AWWW I love her so much!

More Mexico Pics!

Madee in the sand
Isabelle amazingly was first to be buried in the sand

Madee in the sand tent

The amazingly beautiful Rocky Point sunset. Yes we HAD to watch this every night before we ate dinner.

The girls enjoying the nice weather and water...the first day their. This was an indication that we did not bring enough clothes for them. Next time we know to bring 15 changes of clothes for 4 days.

Thanksgiving...

Isn't this how everyone spends their Turkey Day, burying their kids on the beach in Mexico? As you can see the weather was great and the three cousins had a wonderful time. Eating turkey on the beach was a wonderful way to spend the day. We have so much to be thankful for; family, health, friends, and loads of love. More pictures to come later!

Polar Express

So about three weeks ago we went up north and rode on the Polar Express and the deer farm. The girls had a great time and it put us in the holiday mood.

PeePee in the Potty

Yes! Madee actually went. It was after naptime and I had to keep her sufficiently occupied so she wouldn't jump off like she usually does, but after a few minutes of "brushing her hair" she finally went. And went she did, I didnt't think she was going to stop. I got so excited and she had no idea why, but liked the idea of Mommy clapping and cheering just for her. Isabelle got in on the action too, "Good job Sister! We are all so proud of you!" It's a long way from our last box of diapers, but I see an end in sight.

First night in a big girl bed

We have been trying all week to get Madee sleep in her Princess Big Girl Bed. She and Isabelle now share a room to sleep in while the other room is the play room. Since she can now open bedroom doors, she would just get out of bed and come into the living room. She has been sleeping in the pack -n-play since the crib is gone. Two days ago she took a nap in her bed, but last night she slept the entire night in her bed. Of course, after she had fallen asleep in the pack-n-play and was moved to the bed. Beggars can't be choosers right?

A small scare

The babysitter called me today while I was at work to tell me that Isabelle had fallen, wouldn't stop crying and she thought her nose might be broken. I got another call shortly after telling me Isabelle was doing better. When I went to pick her up I was a little shocked at the sight. She is pretty bruised up. Bree, Isabelle's friend, told me that "The park kicked her (Isabelle's) butt." So true! I guess I am not going to get their pictures taken next week after all.

Fall is in the air

On our way home from Grammies the other night we decided to ride home with the windows open and enjoy the nice weather. As usual, the girls gave us some memorable moments!

Isabelle enjoying the wind in her hair! Madee so excited by the cool breeze

This is why we live here!

The weather today is GREAT. At noon, it was still only 81 degrees. It is a little overcast, but finally feels like fall.
As of right now, Isabelle has decided she is going to be Snow White for Halloween. Of course, she did want to be Princess Fiona until we couldn't find a costume in her size (that was a fun trip.) I am thinking Madee will be a ladybug. I will post pictures of the two as soon as we can get them in the costumes.
Just a few short weeks until Fall Break and then I get to spend an entire week with my girls!

Daddy's business trip

Daddy had a training in Prescott last weekend and because he already had a hotel room to himself, he invited us along with him. It was a great drive up as Isabelle saw the trees and proclaimed, "we are in the woods now!" Before we checked into the hotel room, we toured Whiskey Row and ate lunch at "The Palace." There were a few western movies filmed there and many famous visitors. Afterwards we stumbled upon a Corvette show! All the pretty cars, "room room," Madee told us.

When we got to our hotel room we realized we had a two room suite. Isabelle could watch her cartoons while sleeping in her own inflatable Princess sleeping bag while we were in the other room. The weather was great and we were sad to leave.
The picture was in the hotel restaurant the girls ate at while Daddy was in his training class before we left.

The Phone Call

Isabelle has been talking about calling her cousin Audrey, who recently moved to Washington, for about a week straight now. Earlier this week she left a message for Audrey on the "talking voice" at her new house far away! Today we actually were able to have them both talk to each other. After throwing a fit because Daddy wasn't getting off the phone quick enough with Uncle Justin, they hardly said a word to each other. It was like she was talking to someone she hardly knew. Funny thing was after she got off the phone, she had the biggest smile and boasted that she got to talk to "Auudreey." Silly how kids work, but she was happy so that makes me happy!

So sad

We have all been battling the sickness that has plaqued the valley. The changing weather has caused allergies to hit a high right now. Poor Isabelle got it hard; allergies and the sickness. This morning she came home from spending the night with Auntie Barbara saying that her stomach hurt, which it has been for a couple of days. All of a sudden...it happened. She had a little accident on the floor. Throwing up milk has to be the worst smell. Then it happened again, and then later again. It is one of the worst sites to see your little one so sick with nothing you can do. Thankfully after a 3 hour nap and a little bit of pizza, she seems to be feeling better. Let's hope we stay with the good streak!

Isabelle started gymnastics

So today was a monumental day for me, okay maybe Isabelle too. We signed her up for gymnastics classes through the Buckeye Rec. Center. They bring in an instructor from a local gym which made me feel a little more at ease.

The first great thing happened as she was getting out of the car. I asked her is she wanted help out to which she responded, "No mommy, gymnastics girls don't need help out of cars!" As she stepped out of the car, a jet flew overhead. At this time she simply said, "There is my uncle!" I asked her what she meant. "My Uncle Rich, mommy, DUH! He just came from Korea to say hi for when I go to gymnastics." Of course, what was I thinking.

As all the kids and parents were in the room waiting, the instructor turned with a smile and told us parents that the room was too small and all the parents would need to leave and wait outside. The moment I have been waiting for since I knew I was having a girl and now I can't watch. At the end of a very long 45 minutes, she came out with a smile.

I guess I will let her go back next week!

Rough and Tough

So we have Madee, she is definetely all tomboy. In the last 4 days she has fallen, really fallen, about three times. Her knees and shins are scratched up, she did a face plant outside at the babysitters house today, so now her face is scratched up. Good thing she has the body of softball catcher. Hopefully by then they will have brought it back to the Olympics. That way both of our girls can compete in the summer olympics...2030!

Gymnastics

We signed up Isabelle for gymnastics and she starts in two weeks. After watching Nastia Lukin on the Olympics, she can't wait. the night she won the gold in the all around, Isabelle wanted to do flips all night long. We were teaching her summer saults, and the basics of a back handspring. Crazy I know, but hey it made her happy. Next I am sure we will sign her up for dance classes.
